Figma Make brought prompt-based generation into the tool most design teams already use. You describe what you want and get a design and a working, code-backed prototype in the same environment as your components and comments, and Figma Sites can publish the result as a website. For a team that thinks in Figma, that integration is the whole appeal.
The reasons teams look elsewhere have sharpened during 2026:
- 01Credits are metered. Figma has strictly enforced AI credit quotas per seat since March 2026, and Make is the heaviest consumer: one pricing review reports that generating an app from scratch can use more than 100 credits. Users on Figma's own forum reported running out within a day of enforcement starting.
- 02It needs paid seats. Make's full allowance comes with paid Full seats, so access scales with headcount.
- 03A prototype is not a production page. Code-backed prototypes are excellent for testing ideas. Turning them into a maintained marketing site is still an engineering step.
- 04Figma is a design tool first. For a founder without a design team, opening Figma to make one landing page is a lot of tool.
How this was compiled
From vendor documentation, public pricing and published reviews as of October 2026, not hands-on testing. Figma's credit and seat pricing is reported differently across third-party sources, so check figma.com before relying on any figure. ResetUI is our own product.

If you need a shipped marketing site
1. Framer AI
The most natural move for designers. Framer's canvas will feel familiar to anyone coming from Figma, its AI generates full pages from a prompt, and the result is hosted and live without an engineering step. Pricing is per site rather than per AI credit, which makes heavy iteration more predictable. The site stays on Framer, and the trade-offs of that are covered in Framer AI alternatives.
2. ResetUI
Disclosure: our product. A different approach from Figma Make. Instead of generating inside a design tool and handing the result to engineering, ResetUI is an AI web designer that produces the finished SaaS page directly. The brief is matched to an authored design specification, the page is composed for its type, and it exports as standalone HTML or a Next.js, React, Vue or Svelte component.
- Better than Figma Make for: a founder without a design team who needs a shipped landing page, and predictable cost: a full design generation is always 5 credits and a chat edit is 1, whatever the page size.
- Worse for: design teams. There is no Figma file, no component library sync and no multiplayer canvas. It is tuned for SaaS marketing pages, not general product design.
3. Webflow AI
For marketing teams who need many pages, a CMS and publishing workflows, Webflow is the production-grade option. Its AI generates and edits inside the platform, and the result is hosted. Expect a learning curve, and expect the site to stay on Webflow.
If you want to keep Figma in the loop
4. Builder.io
If the design already exists as a Figma file and what you need is production code, Builder.io is the more direct route. It converts Figma designs into code mapped to your own components and lets marketers manage pages afterwards. It does not originate the design, it implements one. Covered in more depth in Builder.io alternatives.
5. Google Stitch
Free with a Google account and quick at UI concepts, Stitch exports back into Figma, so you can explore outside your credit allowance and bring the promising directions home. Reviewers note that its Figma export is flat frames rather than structured components, so expect to rebuild structure.
6. UX Pilot
Aimed at product UI rather than marketing pages, with screens, flows and Figma export. A good fit if most of your Make usage was for app screens. Check the licence terms of free-plan designs before shipping them.
7. AIDesigner
An infinite canvas for generating and comparing variations, with a brand kit and HTML with Tailwind export. For designers who liked exploring in Make but want a dedicated AI design environment and portable code, it is the closest in spirit. See AIDesigner alternatives for where it sits against the rest.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best Figma Make alternative?
It depends on what you need at the end. Framer AI is the closest alternative for a hosted, designer-friendly marketing site. ResetUI suits founders who want a finished SaaS landing page with exportable code and predictable credit costs. Builder.io suits teams that already have Figma designs and need production code. Google Stitch is a free option that exports back to Figma.
Is Figma Make free?
Figma's free Starter plan includes a small AI credit allowance, reported at 150 credits a day capped at 500 a month, which does not go far in Make. The full allowance comes with paid Full seats, and organisations can buy extra credit capacity. Check figma.com for current figures, as third-party sources differ.
Why do Figma Make credits run out so quickly?
Generating a complete design or app is one of the most credit-intensive actions in Figma, with one review reporting more than 100 credits for an app from scratch. Since quotas began to be strictly enforced in March 2026, heavy iteration can exhaust a seat's monthly allowance quickly. Tools with flat per-generation pricing are more predictable for repeated design work.
Can Figma Make build a production website?
It produces designs and code-backed prototypes, and Figma Sites can publish websites. For a simple site that may be enough. For a marketing site maintained alongside a product, most teams still need an engineering step to turn the prototype into production code, which is where export-focused tools or Builder.io come in.
What is the difference between Figma Make and Figma Sites?
Figma Make generates designs and working prototypes from prompts. Figma Sites is for designing and publishing websites from Figma. They can be used together: generate or design in Figma, then publish with Sites. Both are bundled with paid Full seats, with plan-dependent limits such as the number of custom domains.
