Lovable is the most complete of the mainstream AI builders. It scaffolds authentication, a Supabase database and Stripe by default, keeps context across many rounds of iteration better than most, and will genuinely take you from a prompt to something people can sign up for. None of that is in question here.
The question is narrower: when the deliverable is one marketing page, is Lovable the right tool? Usually not, for three reasons.
- 01You pay for capability you will not touch. It is the most expensive entry point among the big builders, and the premium is for backend scaffolding a static page does not need.
- 02Credits burn fast on iterative design work. Its credit model suits building a feature. Nudging a hero layout eight times is exactly the pattern that drains it.
- 03Design is a by-product. It is optimised for software that runs. A page that runs and a page worth looking at are different targets.
How this was compiled
A researched comparison based on vendor documentation, public pricing and published third-party reviews as of September 2026, not a hands-on test. Prices in this category change often, so verify before committing. ResetUI is our own product and is described by what it does, including where it is the wrong choice.

| Base44 | Yes, built in | Yes | No | Free tier available |
| Framer AI | No | Hosted only | Partial | Free, then ~$5+/mo |
| AIDesigner | No | Yes | No | Free tier, then paid |
| ResetUI | No | HTML, Next.js, React, Vue, Svelte | Yes | Free, then from $9/mo |

If you do still need a backend
Two options worth weighing before you leave the category entirely.
1. Base44
The closest like-for-like swap. Prompt to app with a built-in backend, and a free tier generous enough to evaluate properly. Less well known than Lovable, which sometimes means comparable capability at a lower effective cost.
2. Bolt.new
Integrates with Supabase rather than scaffolding everything by default, which is less automatic and more controllable. Its real advantage over Lovable is framework range: React, Vue, Svelte, Next and Astro, where Lovable is React-based.
If the page is the whole job
3. v0
Cleaner React output than Lovable and cheaper, with named design systems that meaningfully reduce generic-looking results. Locked to Next.js and shadcn/ui, which is fine if that is your stack and disqualifying if it is not. Alternatives for that specific constraint are in the v0 alternatives comparison.
4. Framer AI
The cheapest entry point here and the least friction if you are not a developer. It generates the site, hosts it, and gives you a strong visual editor afterwards. The site stays in Framer, so treat it as a hosting decision rather than a code decision.
5. Manus
In published head-to-head testing of landing page generators, Manus produced notably polished output with competent UX writing and mobile-friendly results by default. Underdiscussed relative to the big three and worth a look for single pages.
If the real problem is how it looks
Lovable produces pages that work. The complaint that sends people looking for alternatives is usually that they look like everything else, which is a property of app builders generally rather than of Lovable. The mechanism is set out in AI app builder vs AI design tool.
6. AIDesigner
Design-first on an infinite canvas, covering landing pages, dashboards and mobile screens, with output that published comparisons rate well on visual quality. Broad rather than specialised.
7. ResetUI
Disclosure: our product. Built for one job, the SaaS marketing page, and deliberately not an app builder. You describe the page and the brief is matched automatically to one of twenty authored design specifications rather than you picking a template. Twelve page types share that design language, so a pricing page or a sign-in screen is composed for its own purpose instead of being a landing page with the words changed.
Chat edits any section at 1 credit a message, exports are production-ready in HTML, Next.js, React, Vue or Svelte with responsive behaviour added during conversion, and the free plan renews 10 credits monthly, which is a complete design plus five edits. It will not build your product, and if that is what you need, Lovable is genuinely the better tool.
8. Relume
A different shape again: generates sitemaps and wireframes into Figma and Webflow rather than producing a finished page. The right answer when a designer is going to take the output forward, the wrong one when you wanted the page finished.
Paying for a backend you will not use?
ResetUI does the page and nothing else, and exports code you own. Free plan includes a full design every month.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best Lovable alternative for landing pages?
For a landing page alone, v0 if you are on React and Bolt.new if you are not, since both cost less than Lovable and neither charges you for backend scaffolding you will not use. If the complaint is that the page looks generic rather than that it costs too much, a dedicated design tool such as AIDesigner or ResetUI is a better category fit than any app builder.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Lovable?
Yes. Lovable is around $25 per month, the highest entry point among the major builders. v0 and Bolt.new are both around $20, Framer starts lower, and Base44, Manus and ResetUI all have free tiers that allow real evaluation. For a single landing page the price gap is mostly the backend capability Lovable includes by default.
Can Lovable redesign an existing website?
No. Lovable generates from a prompt and does not read your live site, so your existing copy, structure and brand are not carried across. You would be pasting your own content back into the result. A URL-based redesign tool is a different category built for exactly that case.
Why do Lovable credits run out so quickly on design work?
Its credit model is shaped around building features, where each prompt makes substantial progress. Iterative visual work is the opposite pattern: many small nudges to spacing, hierarchy and copy, each consuming credit for a small change. Tools that price per message or per generation tend to suit design iteration better than credit models tuned for app building.
Is Lovable worth it for just a landing page?
Usually not. It is excellent when the landing page is the first visible piece of a product that also needs authentication, a database and payments, because all of that arrives in the same session. If nothing behind the page needs to exist, you are paying the highest price in the category for scaffolding you will delete.
