Code export is the line between owning your landing page and renting it. With exported code, the page can live in the same repository as the product, deploy with the rest of your stack, and be changed by any developer without a platform login. Without it, your page is tied to a vendor's pricing, editor and uptime.
That is not automatically a bad trade. A hosted builder is the right call when a non-developer runs the site. But if engineers will maintain the page, export is the first filter, and the quality of what is exported is the second.
How this was compiled
From vendor documentation and published reviews as of October 2026, not hands-on testing. Export features change frequently, so confirm current formats and plan requirements on each vendor's site. ResetUI is our own product.
Who exports what
| Tool | Export formats | Styling | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| ResetUI | Standalone HTML, Next.js App Router page, Vite React, Vue SFC, Svelte | Tailwind | Paid plans. Re-export the same design in another stack anytime |
| v0 | Next.js and React | Tailwind, shadcn/ui | Deploys to Vercel in one step |
| Bolt.new | React, Vue, Svelte, Next, Astro projects | Your choice | Full projects rather than single pages |
| Lovable | React full-stack projects | Tailwind | Includes backend scaffolding you may not need |
| AIDesigner | HTML | Tailwind | Framework-neutral and portable |
| Google Stitch | HTML and CSS, Figma | Tailwind | Free, code described as a starting point |
| Relume | Figma, Webflow | Webflow classes | Wireframes rather than finished design |
| Webflow | Limited static export on some paid plans | Webflow CSS | CMS content does not come with it |
| Framer, Wix | No maintainable code export | Platform | Hosted only |
How to judge generated code before you commit to it
Open the exported file before you are invested in the design. These checks take ten minutes and tell you whether the code will save you time or cost you a rewrite.
- Semantic structure. One h1, headings in order, real nav, main and footer elements, buttons that are buttons and links that are links.
- Consistent values. Spacing, colours and font sizes should repeat from a small set. Dozens of one-off values mean the design system only exists visually.
- Readable classes and components. Sections you can find and edit, not one enormous block of nested divs.
- Responsive behaviour. Resize the browser and check on a real phone. Some tools design at desktop width and add mobile behaviour later, sometimes only for certain export formats.
- Accessibility basics. Alt text on images, visible focus states, and text contrast that meets WCAG AA, which asks for at least 4.5 to 1 for body text.
- Few dependencies. A landing page should not pull in a large component library or animation framework you do not otherwise use.
- Fonts and images handled properly. Fonts loaded once, images sized sensibly, nothing hot-linked from a domain you do not control.
Which export format to choose
| Your situation | Best format | Why |
|---|---|---|
| No stack yet, just need a page live | Standalone HTML | Drop it on any static host, no build step |
| Product is a Next.js app | Next.js page | Lives in your app directory and deploys with everything else |
| React with Vite | React component | Imports like any other component |
| Vue or Nuxt | Vue single-file component | No translation from React |
| SvelteKit | Svelte component | Native to your stack |
| Astro marketing site | HTML, or a React or Svelte component | Astro accepts all three |
| Marketers will edit it weekly | A hosted builder instead | Code export is the wrong tool for this team |
Getting an exported page into production
- 01Put the file where your framework expects a page or component, for example the app directory in a Next.js project.
- 02Check that your project has Tailwind configured if the export uses it, or that the export includes its styles.
- 03Move any images into your own public or assets folder and update the paths.
- 04Load the fonts the design uses through your framework's font system rather than ad-hoc link tags.
- 05Replace placeholder links with real routes, and wire the forms to a real endpoint.
- 06Set the page title, meta description and social image.
- 07Run a Lighthouse check for performance and accessibility before you ship.
How ResetUI handles export
Disclosure: our product. ResetUI is an AI web designer for SaaS, and export was designed to be stack-agnostic. The same design exports as a standalone HTML file, a Next.js App Router page, a Vite React component, a Vue single-file component or a Svelte component, all styled with Tailwind, and you can export it again in a different stack later without regenerating the design.
- Framework exports are real conversions. They are converted for production, checked for completeness before download, and made responsive for mobile and tablet on the way out, because the design itself is generated at desktop width.
- The standalone HTML export is the page as designed, ready for any static host.
- Credits: a standard HTML export costs 0 credits and a framework conversion costs 2.
- Plans: export is included on Starter at $9 a month and Pro at $19. It is not included on the Free plan.
- Ownership: you own the exported code outright, with no licence fees, runtime or lock-in.

Frequently asked questions
Which AI web designer exports the best code?
It depends on your stack. v0 produces clean Next.js and shadcn/ui code for React teams. Bolt supports the widest range of JavaScript frameworks. ResetUI exports one design to HTML, Next.js, React, Vue or Svelte. Whatever you choose, check the exported code for semantic structure, consistent values and responsive behaviour before committing.
Can I export code from Framer or Wix?
Not in a form you can maintain in your own repository. Framer and Wix are hosted platforms and the site is built and served there. Webflow offers a limited static export on some paid plans, without CMS content. If owning the code matters, choose a tool built around export.
Is AI-generated website code production-ready?
Sometimes. Quality varies widely between tools. Some reviewers describe free tools' code as a starting point, while tools built for export aim to produce code you can ship. Check headings, accessibility, responsiveness and dependencies, and run a Lighthouse audit before you deploy.
What export format should I choose for a landing page?
If you have no stack yet, a standalone HTML file is the fastest route because it runs on any static host. If the page will live inside an existing app, export in that app's framework, such as a Next.js page or a Vue component, so it deploys with everything else.
Does ResetUI include code export on the free plan?
No. The Free plan lets you generate and edit a full design every month. Code export is included on Starter at $9 a month and Pro at $19 a month. A standard HTML export costs 0 credits and a framework conversion costs 2 credits.
